In full RoadTrip and you arrive at the end of your deodorant do not panic you only need a few ingredients to do it yourself. Effective and ecological this deodorant will be your ally during your trip and very easy to achieve in van.

I do not know you but I have a big problem to find an effective deodorant that does not damage my skin in the trade. In fact it’s a bit my obsession when I travel because brands and compositions change from one country to another.

In addition to this dilemma, I am anti-waste so when I buy something I finish it. How many times I found feeling bad one hour after the shower because the deodorant was not effective or with irritation.

Finally, I try to limit my waste. And it’s by doing research that I found homemade recipes and interesting reviews. Well I admit I had to put more than a year before trying since I was afraid of damaging my skin. Nevertheless all the positive reviews I saw on different recipes reassured me and I jumped the pace.

The mixture will solidify on cooling.

PS: In the van, I use the glass jar that will contain the deodorant directly in a bain-marie. In this way I have less dishes to do.

Application:

application deodorant van

Take a small amount with your fingers and apply under the armpits.

Tips:

When I leave with the Backpack I put a small amount of my deodorant in a smaller pot.

Coconut oil, and its anti-microbial power can be replaced by aloe vera which at the same property. However, the aloe vera is less well preserved and should be kept in the refrigerator.

I use baking soda for its deodorant properties, it can sweat without feeling bad. But you can replace it with Palmarosa essential oil which also has this property.

Each ingredient in this recipe uses properties. However, I know we do not always have the time to do the full recipe and there is a very simple alternative: put some baking soda and aloe vera in your hand, mix and apply.

Another advantage is that baking soda serves you a lot of things in the van, including cleaning.
